Genealogy Research Notes: With a little research in online Newspapers I found that this Curling Tournament took place in St. Paul Minnesota in 1888 and that the winners (shown here) were the Granitz Rink of Winnipeg Manitoba. Sadly, the Skip Samuel G. Harstone drowned on board the yacht Gracie B which capsized near Lower Fort Garry on the 27 of April 1902. [Source: Duluth News-Tribune, Minnesota.
