remarried Sept., 8, 1652, one Jan Jansen also of Groeningen at
the New Amsterdam Dutch Church. In 1663 Melchior is listed as 19
years of age and a member of the Boswyck militia. Moved about
1670 to Brooklyn, N.Y., lived New York(City)about 1687/89, moved
circa 1692 to Tappan, Orange County and sometime after about 1700
to Dutchess County New York where he shows up
on the 1714 census.
