Anna Polhemus b. ca 1649 Isle Itmarca, Brazil
Margoitjeb Polhemus b. ca 1600 Isle Itmarca, Brazil
Elizabeth Polhemus b. ca 1661, Midwont(?) NJ
Daniel Polhemus b. ca 1662 Midwont (?) NJ m Aug 13 1685 Neltje (d/o Cornelis Vandeveer)

Notes: Rev.Johannes T. Polhemus/Polhemius was probably born at Boikirchen, a small community now vanished, which was probably near the present Wolfstein in Rhenish, Bavaria (NSG 43:125) On 25 Oct 1636 he sailed from Amsterdam & Texel Harbor and landed 23 Jan 1637 on Recif of Pernambuco, Brazil. --------------------------------------------------

Note from Lorine: You will find information on the Polhemius family in Register of the Early Settlers of Kings County, Long Island, NY by Teunis G. Bergen. I think his arrival date of 1598 that you have listed is incorrect. He purchased land in Flatbush NY in 1662, and if his daughter Anna was born in Brazil in 1649 he could not have been in NY prior to that time. Referring to Elizabeth and Daniel - the proper name is Midwout, not Midwont. I believe you will also find that his wife's name was VAN Werven, not VON.

Re children: Lammetie married Johannes Willemse, Anna m. Cornelis Barentse Van Derwyck/Wyck, Maragrietje (not Margoitjeb) m. William Guilliamse Cornell, Adriana m. John Roelofse Suebering, Elizabeth m. Dionys Teunise. There is quite a bit on Daniel who m. Neeltje Cornelise Vanderveer.
