Tyler currently works for the Department of National Defence (DND) as a communications researcher. Before that he was in the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry 2nd Battalion. He served with them for just under six years, in which time he completed a peace keeping tour in Bosnia and a combat tour in Afghanistan.
