Description    Annual return of lunatics in the Stockton Union, giving names, ages, where chargeable, where held and when sent there, weekly cost of maintenance, whether lunatic or idiot, dangerous to himself or others, of dirty habits or not, and how long they have been of unsound mind. Includes:

- James Windross aged 48 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 19 June 1861. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, dangerous to others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 11 years and 7 months

- Richard Archer aged 39 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 9 November 1863. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, dangerous to others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 7 years and 3 months

- William Barry aged 35 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 22 July 1864. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, dangerous to himself and others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 5 years and 6 months

- John Battersby aged 36 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 4 December 1866. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, dangerous to himself and others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 3 years and 6 months

- John Pearson aged 31 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 18 July 1867. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, dangerous to others, of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 5 years and 6 months

- Isaac Hutton aged 37 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 25 May 1867. His weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; he is a lunatic, not dangerous to himself or others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 2 years and 9 months

- Emma Sophia Anderson aged 36 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 25 February 1867. Her weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; she is a lunatic, dangerous to herself, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 3 years and 1 month

- Martha Ann Hutchinson aged 29 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 31 December 1864. Her weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; she is a lunatic, dangerous to herself and others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for six years

- Harriet Chadfield aged 38 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 8 August 1867. Her weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; she is a lunatic, dangerous to herself and others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for 2 years and 5 months

- Eliza Laidler aged 61 years, chargeable to Middlesbrough and sent to the North Riding Pauper Asylum on 28 April 1868. Her weekly cost of maintenance is 8s 9d; she is a lunatic, dangerous to herself and others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind for two years

- John Sowler aged 23 years, chargeable to Stainton and living with his mother at Thornton, Stainton. His weekly cost of maintenance is 2s 6d; he is an idiot, not dangerous to himself or others, not of dirty habits, and has been of unsound mind from birth
