American Military Genealogy & History
Having dozens of military ancestors, this section is near and dear to my heart! I also have a son (my youngest, age 20) who is a soldier in the Canadian Army -- 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry -- the only Canadian Batallion in history to receive a Presidential Unit Citation (for its role in the battle of Kapyong in Korea). My pages provide historical background for each conflict, chronological timelines, statistics, battles, famous Americans & Canadians, biographies of soldiers, heroes and their stories, contributions of women, muster rolls for conflicts before 1900, Letters Home (from soldiers at the front), music and poetry, guest authors' submissions, links to other online resources, and Research Libraries.
These pages will be of interest to educators, students, genealogists, military historians and those who are interested
in the stories of the participants themselves.
